About Kayla

I help leaders and organizations improve leadership effectiveness and talent decisions by applying behavioral science to support clear, strategic action.

I bring nearly a decade of experience across financial services, government, and consulting environments. At Navy Federal Credit Union, I led enterprise leadership assessment initiatives and advised senior leaders on development priorities. My work has focused on helping leaders and HR teams understand how individual behavior and organizational context interact to influence outcomes.

Earlier in my career, I supported Department of Defense clients as an industrial-organizational psychologist, conducting applied research focused on leadership behavior and decision-making. I designed and tested evidence-based tools and training for leaders with an emphasis on usability and impact.

Clients value my grounded, direct approach. I’m known for cutting through noise, asking the questions that matter, and helping leaders see themselves and their organizations more clearly.

I hold an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from George Mason University and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. I’m certified in the Leadership Circle Profile and Hogan Assessments. I’m based in Washington, DC and work with clients both virtually and in person.

“Kayla has a natural gift for assessment and talent development... I can confidently speak to her integrity, character, and work ethic. She is exceptionally intelligent, communicates with clarity, and brings a deep passion for helping people grow in their careers.”
